Brian will go through your portfolio and using an over-the-shoulder video camera, record the review session for you.

In this comprehensive review Brian will talk about what is working well in your portfolio and what is not. He will give you personal tips on what you need to do to improve your work and give you a better chance of getting a job in a studio or applying to an animation school.

Depending on the size of your portfolio (see the guidelines for the size your portfolio should be) and the quality of your artwork, the video will be approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour long.

While working at Nelvana in Toronto and Atkinson’s in Ottawa, Brian was responsible for looking at prospective employees coming into the Layout and Posing departments.

As the Coordinator of the Classical Animation Program at Sheridan College for 5 years from 1996 - 2001, he was responsible for assessing the applicants to the program. Over the past 17 years he’s assessed well over 20,000 portfolios. It’s safe to say he knows what both schools and studios are looking for.
