Good and Bad Portfolio Examples
Here are some examples of both good and bad portfolio submissions. These are real and not made up.

The purpose of this section is not to be mean spirited but rather to give you a realistic look at the work that is submitted. You can guage your own work based on these samples and it will most likely fall somewhere inbetween. If you happen to have artwork that resembles the good stuff, you've probably got a very good chance of getting into a college level program. If, however, your art looks similar to the bad examples, you probably need some type of formal foundational training... an Art Fundamentals program in a college or art school of some sort.

Don't be discouraged if your drawing isn't that good. You probably just need a good instructor and some formalized assignments to help you build your skills.
