Here, in this downshot of a spiral staircase is an example of three point perspective. Although I could have made this a one point perspective looking down (which it is), I’ve cheated the perspective as it rises up towards you to create more of a fish eye lens view.

The two vanishing point lines go off to the upper left and towards the right, off the page. When I did the final layout, I actually just eye balled the perspective rather than plot it all out with a ruler. I think I got lucky.

This is not what you would see if you took a photograph of this type of environment. By cheating it to a three point perspective, I’ve created more of a natural ‘peripheral vision’ view that is actually seen through your eyes.
