Thought Process Follow your Basic Work Process Handout for the overall process of doing this assignment. Find some reference material for this assignment. Go to the library and check out some photo books on movies that show these types of characters. Look for distinguishing features that are stereotypical to the different types of characters required. See the section on stereotypes on page 68 in this lesson. Another thing that I have done that might be helpful to you is to go to a shopping mall with your sketchbook and draw the people that you see walking around. Go during the day to see mostly women and in the evening to see more men with their wives and girlfriends. Be sure to follow all the steps and principles that weve been working with to this point: - Start with the sphere, modify to the shape you need, - Add the centerline that determines the rotation of the head, - Draw the cylindrical shape on the lower half of the sphere to define the facial structure and or neck, - Extend the center line down the front of the face shape, - Draw the eyeline on the face at the desired level, - Add the features one by one. I suggest beginning with the eyes then the nose, the mouth and then the rest of the features. - Be careful to use your perspective principles as you draw the features, otherwise the face will slide around.
