| Before you begin to read this section You should be warned in advance that some of the stuff you are about to read may go way over your head. This assignment is both a Character Design assignment as well as a Location Design, Storyboarding and Layout assignment. It is not intended to overwhelm you but rather to introduce you to the other aspects that are involved in producing an animated cartoon. Treat it the same way that you have the other assignments that I’ve given you. IF YOU ONLY WANT TO DO THE CHARACTER DESIGN PART THEN THAT’S FINE. Don’t feel as though you have to do all this other stuff. If you want to, great! I’ve given reference to my other books on layout that you can use if you do decide to go ahead with the whole thing.
