Max is the boy who is 6 years old. The character Me is the dog. The stories are all told from the dog's point of view. The dog has a wandering imagination which takes him and Max through a series of wild adventures.
Each story begins based in reality and then gets turned upside down by the dog's crazy perception of events.
The "Pirates Ho!" concept begins at the beach where Me & Max were having a fun time swimming in the water and playing on the floating dock. Max started to pretend he was a pirate by yelling, "Pirates Ho!" and the next thing you know, we're actually on a pirate ship being chased by pirates who think we stole their treasure!!
In "Rocket Men", Max's mom gives him the big box from a new refridgerator that they just got. When Max puts on his hockey helmet and climbs in, we're getting ready for liftoff in our really cool spaceship bound for Mars. When we get there, we meet aliens. Some who are friendly and some who are not.
