

					This was a layout / location design for a project in 1985 that never went anywhere. I was contracted to do character designs, location designs, 2 comic books and a storyboard for a children’s series called Teacher’s Pets. I worked on the project for about a year part time while I was working for Hanna - Barbera and then Atkinsons. It looked as though things were going well but then the guys who were producing the project up and disappeared, stiffing me about $30,000.00 worth of pay for work done. I tried to track them down for a couple of years then just gave up realizing I’d never get the money from them anyway. I never did find them again. It was a very expensive lesson to learn: You can only trust someone if they pay you money up front. They actually did pay me up front for the first part of the project, then began to rely on my understanding that the money would be there in a week or two, then three then never.
